PRESIDENT
Marilyn Wilkes has volunteered with the Land Trust for nearly 20 years and has played a leading role in advancing environmental stewardship in West Haven. An avid gardener, she spearheaded the creation of Eco Park, an ecological education and native plant restoration project along West Haven’s shoreline. She also founded the West Haven Community Garden in 2013 and previously served as chair of the West Haven Beautification Committee.
Professionally, Marilyn has held marketing management roles in higher education, publishing, telecommunications, and banking technology. For more than two decades, she served as Director of Communications at Yale University’s MacMillan Center and later at the Liman Center for Public Interest Law at Yale Law School.
A lifelong resident of West Haven, Marilyn is a fourth-generation member of a family that has long called the West Shore neighborhood home.
