Full Moon Walk (with Sandy Point Bird Sanctuary)

A wonderful walk along the sand spit to observe the full Moon on Saturday, September 10.  Meet at the Sandy Point parking lot at 7pm.  Moon rise is 7:41pm.  This Land Trust event is cosponsored by the Sandy Point Neighborhood Association. Free and open to the public.

Maltby Lakes Hike

Join the West River Watershed Coalition on Saturday, October 15 at 10am for a hike around the Maltby Lakes.  The hike will begin at 10am from the Maltby Lakes Recreational Parking Lot, 535 Derby Ave, West Haven.  Please note that the 3 mile hike is somewhat hilly. Free and open to the public.

Annual Beach Clean-Up

Our annual Beach Clean-up — in partnership with Yale’s Day of Service — will take place on Saturday, May 13, from 9-11am. Join us at the facilities building at Old Grove Park for gloves and bags at any point during the two hours and help tidy up our shoreline. All are welcome. Register online here.  

Full Moon Walk

Our Full Moon Walk out to the end of the spit at Sandy Point will take place on Saturday, June 3 at 7:30 pm. We will meet at the Sandy Point Beach parking lot. A talk will be given on the endangered horseshoe crab.
