Colleen has been a member of the Land Trust of West Haven since her retirement from West Haven Public Schools in 2005. She served the community as Special Education Teacher, Parent Liaison for the Racial Balance Programs, Grant Writer for State Magnet School programs, and Guidance Counselor for Carrigan Middle School. She credits her interest in the goals of the Land Trust from her parents who had an acre vegetable garden and a large flower garden which provided much work and pleasure for her eight family members.
